Soft Apple Cake

• 1 apple, for the topping
• 4 1/4 oz apple purée or unsweetened applesauce
• 3 eggs
• 5 1/3 oz sugar
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 4 tbsp vegetable oil
• 5 1/3 oz plain (all-purpose) flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 tsp cinnamon powder
• powdered sugar, for dusting, optional (opsyonal)
